Perhaps...
if life weren't so complicating, I wouldn't change.
if my heart was stronger, I wouldn't falter but stay true, holding on.
if and only if.
but I'm weak and just a child. At times, I'm trying to be a person who I want to be, but I find that trying to be that person makes me be who I am not. Isn't that how it always is in everything? You love, you cry, you let go. I'm not like other who dare to put everything out for love, for a chance of happiness. I hate being hurt thus making me unwilling to put myself in a compromising situation that might leave me in pieces. I doubt that I will ever be able to hold on tightly to anything, especially if I'm the only one. Its easier when you know there is something worth fighting for.
When you grow, you see things in a different light right? You see that there are some things that we have to forget to continue on. The life ahead for each of us is a winding road that we can't see. But at times we get glimpses of the future, of dreams made reality. Turning around, we can see what we've been through and smile at our pain then since we've moved pass that. Only then will we understand why sometimes, we let go.
how to's
A guide for cleaning your room - especially for teenagers.
Steps
1. Create a calming atmosphere. Turn off all electronic devices. Music may help when you are just 'straightening up' but when you listen to music when you're really trying to clean, you sometimes tend to repeat poor cleaning choices.
2. Open a window for fresh air during the summer, and use natural light rather than overhead, energy consuming ones. If your room smells bad, you might want to spray some air-freshener to get rid of odors.
3. Eat before cleaning. Hunger and thirst really distract you from cleaning effectively. But try not to clean after eating a huge meal.
4. Make your bed properly and neatly. Making a bed can be more complex than you think, so try studying other's bed making patterns or reading a wikihow on how.
5. For cleaning, take everything that has been put away improperly (aka in the wrong place, or has been put away sloppily) and put it in a big pile in the middle of your room.
6. Go through the pile, finding any trash that you can. Put it into a heavy duty trash bag.
7. Go through the pile again, this time, taking out any articles of clothing and putting them into a separate pile. Go through them, putting away the clean clothes, and putting the dirty clothes either in a laundry basket or put them into a neat pile on your closet floor.
8. Go through the rest of the stuff, putting it neatly where it belongs.
9. If you have stuff in your room that belongs elsewhere (dirty dishes, food, that shirt that belongs to your sister, etc.) then put it in a pile to take away later. Going back and forth putting stuff away wastes time and tires you.
10. If you find items that you don't have a place for or you don't want, put them in a box to give away later.
11. After everything is put away and dusted, sweep/vacuum/mop your floor. A clean floor can do so much for a room.
12. Take the trash bag out to the trash and the laundry to the laundry room.
13. Look at the items in the box. If you decide that you don't want them, you can donate them or throw them away. If you do want them, find places to keep them or purchase more storage items to keep them in.
Tips
* Take a 10 minute breather every 45 minutes (this is the average person's attention span).
* Don't listen to music.
* Have everything you'll need out before you start.
* The messy-room syndrome is mostly caused by having too much stuff. If there's anything in your room that you don't want or need, send it to Good Will or give some of it to that little sibling who would like that trinket you never use.
* Do not shove anything anywhere, put everything away neatly. If you feel yourself getting restless, or you don't feel in the cleaning mood, and you're angry or whatever, try taking a ten minute break. Drink some water, sit down, relax and refresh yourself.
* Do your best to clean everything thoroughly. Remember the quote ,"If your going to do something, best to do it right,"
Warnings
* Turn off your phones, computers and T.V's so that you won't be tempted.
* Take your time and don't rush. A thorough cleaning might take all day, but it will help cut down on the daily work you have to do to it.
* Be careful moving heavy objects!!
* Turn off the music!
Things You'll Need
* A box
* A bag or basket for laundry
* Trash bag
hehe. My room is a mess so I'm put this random thing up. LOL!

quizzes
Random quizzes I took on Meg Cabot's website.
Your ideal guy is Jesse from the Mediator series:
You like guys who are clever and brave, and maybe just a little “old-world” romantic. Your ideal guy may have a tendency to brood over wounds he received in the past. Make sure you do your best to keep his mind off his problems, and he’ll go to the edge and back for you, making you feel completely loved and cherished.
Jessica Mastriani from the 1-800-Where-R-You series:
Feisty and loyal, but at times hot-tempered and occasionally vulnerable, you're someone everyone wants to be friends with, because you're good in a fight and fun all the rest of the time.
BEST BUD
Congratulations! You're the kind of friend everyone wants! You're genuinely concerned about your BFF when it counts, but at the same time, you won't let anyone walk all over you-and she respects you for that. You have the guts to say no, you won't stay for an extra two hours while your friend flirts with someone at a party. But if she needs you to help her out of a REAL jam, you'll always be there for her. You're always willing to compromise, but you know you don't have to be a doormat to win popularity points. Your levelheaded attitude also keeps you from getting competitive when friends do well. This kind of support and caring makes you the BFF everyone longs for.

Martha: We were berry picking.
Captain Von Trapp: Oh, I forgot you were berry picking? What kind of berries?
Kurt: er... they were BLUEBERRIES!
Captain Von Trapp: oh blueberries!.. its too early for blueberries..
Frederic: Oh, they were STRAWBERRIES. But its been SO cold now, they turned BLUE... er..

Everyone needs a place to go for encouragement, support and good company. Have you found your place?
Everyone needs a place where their values are shared and reflected. Church and Mass are not the only ways, or necessarily the first ways, to meet such needs. But don't miss the opportunity to check it out.
Parishes generally offer many opportunities to do good for others, to use your talents and time for the good of the community.
If nothing is happening at your parish, you have two choices: find a different parish where youth seem to be welcomed and active and join them or do it yourself.
That's why I'm moving to CDM. Partly.

Saint Max
The day was long, The burden I had borne seemed heavier than I could longer bear and then it lifted-but I did not know some one had knelt in prayer; had taken me to God that very hour, and asked the easing of the load, and He, in infinite compassion, had stooped down and taken it from me. We cannot tell how often as we pray for some bewildered one, hurt and distressed, the answer comes, but many times those hearts find sudden peace and rest. Some one had prayed, and faith, a reaching hand, took hold of God, and brought Him down that day! So many, many hearts have need of prayer. Oh, let us pray! -St. Maximilian Kolbe
Contemplative
I feel so empty. Strange and light.
Maybe that's what you feel when you nearly burn your room down.
Or maybe I'm contemplating something more.
Something bigger than myself.
I wonder...
am I called to more?

boredom
[Jack throws a bucket of water on sleeping Gibbs]
Mr. Gibbs: Curse you for breathin' ya slack-jawed idiot. Mother's love. Jack. You should know better than to wake a man when he's sleepin'. Its bad luck.
Jack Sparrow: Fortunately, I know how to counter it; the man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink; the man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking.
Mr. Gibbs: Aye, that'll about do it.
[Will throws more water on Mr. Gibbs]
Mr. Gibbs: Blast I'm already awake.
Will Turner: That was for the smell.
Jack Sparrow: Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Norrington: Mr. Sparrow, you will accompany these fine men to the helm and provide us with the bearing to Isla de Muerta. You will then spend the remainder of the voyage contemplating all possible meanings of the phrase "silent as the grave". Do I make myself clear?
Jack Sparrow: Inescapably.
Jack Sparrow: One question about your business, boy, or there's no use going: This girl... how far are you willing to go to save her?
Will Turner: I'd die for her.
Jack Sparrow: Oh good. No worries then.
Jack Sparrow: [Wakes up and sees Elizabeth burning the rum] No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You burned all the food, the shade... the rum!
Elizabeth: Yes, the rum is gone.
Jack Sparrow: Why is the rum gone?
Elizabeth: One: because it is a *vile* drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two: that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire royal navy is out looking for me, do you think there is even the slightest chance they wont see it?
Jack Sparrow: But why is the rum gone?
Elizabeth: mark my words, give it an hour maybe two, keep a weather eye out and there will be white sails on that horizon.
Jack Sparrow: Parleley, parlelellyleloooo, par le nee, partner, par... snip, parsley...
Ragetti: Parley?
Jack Sparrow: That's the one. Parley. Parley.
Pintel: Parley? Damn to the depths whatever man what thought of "Parley".
Jack Sparrow: That would be the French.

Moments
© By Faria NowshinThese moments in time are yours,
These two moments are your to keep.
Treasure them
For we must each go along our own paths,
You to your destiny,
I to mine.
The dreams I dream of you,
As I lay awake at night.
Tears flowing down your face,
Rivers flowing down mine,
As we think of our parting,
And reminisce our love.
But always remember,
That I am here, I am here,
I am here in your very beginning.
Our love cannot be forgotten
For I am here, I am here,
Hiding from you.
Thought
Sadness is a highway with no exits that takes you through a tunnel-but sanity will prevail!
There are three distinct stages of grief. First comes protest, then denial and shock. Second is pain, the heavy sadness with anger and disorganization. Third is hope, moving on.
Sharing the burden lightens the load.
Talk about your loss.
Friends who are really friends won't tell you everything is O.K. Good friends will listen and offer support.

sob
Its such a BEAUTIFUL video. Makes me cry EVERYTIME. :) Here's the story behind it. I got this from wikipedia.
"Team Hoyt is a father (Dick Hoyt) and son (Rick Hoyt, b. 1962) in Massachusetts who compete together in marathons, triathlons, and other athletic endeavors. Rick was disabled at birth by a loss of oxygen to his brain because his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, and he also suffers from cerebral palsy. Dick carries him in a special seat up front as they bike, pulls him in a special boat as they swim, and pushes him in a special wheelchair as they run.
Thanks to his parents, who ignored the advice of doctors that he would live life in a persistent vegetative state, and Tufts University engineers, who recognized that his sense of humor indicated intelligence, at the age of 12, Rick was able to learn how to use a special computer to communicate, using movements from his head. The first words he typed were, "Go Bruins!", and the family learned he was a sports fan. They entered their first race in 1977, a 5 mile benefit run for an injured lacrosse player who was a schoolmate of Rick's.
Dick is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard. Rick earned a college degree from Boston University in special education, and now works at Boston College. They continue to compete in races, and are also motivational speakers.
As of December 31, 2006, Team Hoyt had participated in a total of 942 events, including 216 Triathlons (6 of which were Ironman competitions), 20 Duathlons, and 65 Marathons, including 25 consecutive Boston Marathons. They also biked and ran across the USA in 1992 — a 3,735 mile journey that took them 45 days.
When asked what one thing Rick wished he could give his father, his reply was "The thing I'd most like is that my dad would sit in the chair and I would push him once." "

For the last time

Fascinating how life passes so fast.
To my parents, it seems like just yesterday that I was but a toddler with a LOUD voice, who kept falling down.
Now,
I'm taller, less careless but still as LOUD as ever. :D
Fourteen years, 12 hours and 30 minutes since I've been born.
Tomorrow at 6.30 am, I will be fifteen.
The second COF member to reach that age.
15 revolutions as comic artist, Rachel Nabors says.
15.
Now I can actually say, 'I remember 10 years ago' and have SOMETHING to actually say.
Truly, through all this time I have so many memories and its amazing how many more are to come.
Friends, loves, pets, family have all passed me by.
I'm still here...
different but the same.
and oxymoron in life.
This is year its going to be amazing.
Why?
Because I'll be 15 on the 15th of August.
:D
Although I will not be able to go for mass (my birthday is the SAME day as the Feast of the Assumption), I'll try to be content.
Maybe this will be a good luck charm for tomorrow's exam.
15 is quite a number although some of you may beg to differ.
To me its a starting point, to wash away my mistakes, to start anew.
I hope to wake up tomorrow with this verses in my heart:
Jeremiah 29:11-> For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
Psalm 37:23-> If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm
Psalm 23:1 -> The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Proverbs 3:5-6->Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.
God bless and a Happy and Blessed Birthday to me.

Horoscopes. LOL
Leo 4F: You've got it made, and you know it. Your good energy comes back to you redoubled, and something you have been striving for finally comes to pass. It's a good time to kick back and enjoy life!
Gemini L1: You can focus your mental energy really well today, and you might want to spend your time gearing up for the next year or just reading stuff that appeals to you. Make a good impression on your parents!
Libra 3F: Spend some extra time with your friends today, even if it makes someone mad. You've got social energy to spare, and you should get a lot out of your interactions with them. Things are looking up!
Sagittarius 5F: You're feeling a bit restless, if generally positive about life. It's a great time to head out and explore more of your local territory -- you never know what you're going to find. It's a cheap way to travel!
Scorpio 2F: You are facing something that's a little bigger than you had planned on and that could mean that you need to draw on support from others. The good news is that you should get it when you ask for it.

Goodbye
Dearest,
How long has it been since I've known your name?
How long has it been that we've played this game?
I cannot bear to be near you like this,
Full-knowing there's a wall between me and Bliss.
Can I tell you how I truly feel,
How in my heart I wish this could be real.
For days and years go by and I still think of you...
Just seeing you here is like dream come true.
But like all dreams, this one must end,
So I have time this broken heart to mend.
Yes, I know that dreams are dreams
Our imagination torn at the seams.
I'm so afraid of holding on too long,
Because inside I'm afraid I'm wrong,
For should I tell you how I feel inside,
Let Truth's door be open wide;
You'll walk away and leave me feeling bad,
In fact I think I might go mad.
To lose your friendship is my worst fear
Because I'll be loosing one I hold dear.
So I'm writing this to simply say goodbye,
To all my feelings that have kept me asking "Why?".
I have to do this and walk away,
Because I know I'll forget you one day.
My dear, you know that this is true,That this silly girl can't be with you.
We're better off going our own way
and never meet again, I pray.
Because its hard enough you see,
To try and forget about you and me.
I'm leaving here because I can't,
To love someone whom I'm not meant.
Love always,
Grace

Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you are just as pretty without makeup, one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you, the one who turns to his friends and says, “That's her.” Forgive me if I st-stutter I just want that thing. You know, that moment when you kiss someone and everything around you becomes hazy. And the only thing in focus is you and that person. And you realize that that person is the only person that you're supposed to kiss for the rest of your life. And for one moment you get this gift. And you want to laugh and you want to cry because you feel so lucky that you found it and so scared that it will go away all at the same time Love is passion, obsession, something you cant live without. Fall head over heels, find someone who you can love like crazy that will love you the same way back. How?
Today I went for the Form 3 Sunday School camp in Assumption Church. David wasn't suppose to come and boy, was I surprised when he plunked on the seat beside me. Anyway, we learnt a lot and signed chastity pledges. It was really cool.
But there was one question that was put into the 'Annonymous Questions' box that stuck with me:
"How can I stop the feelings I have for a girl I have liked for the past 3 years?"
Father Simon answered that with, "It all depends on what is behind those feelings. Whether you like her to get her in bed, or whether its because she's pretty or whether you truly admire her."
I couldn't help over hearing Sherwin tell David ,"Three years ah? That means from Form One-lah," nudging David suggestively.
Hm. But all in all, Father Simon did tell us that we were too young to get into a serious relationship. At our stage, we're simply infatuated with another person. But let those feelings grow and blossom because if it lasts a while, that infatuation turns into admiration and soon love.
It was fun today. I liked it. But my thighs are still hurting from the dancing and cheering yesterday so I can barely climb the stairs. =D Haha.

The 'RM50' difference
WARNING= THE FOLLOWING MIGHT BE OFFENDING TO SOME. You have been warned.
Two days. Barely 12 hours apart. But the difference is so contrasting I can hardly believe it. Difference referring to what I got out of both days.
However, both events were quite similar in certain angles.
In both events, I had one of my best friends with me.
In both events, the payment had the number ‘5’ in it.
In both events, there was music.
In both events, there was authority present.
In both events, we sat in a hall.
In both events, there was food.
In both events, there was a good band playing.
In both events, there were moments that made me laugh.
YET…
During the prefect dinner, I felt empty.
During the CDM Youth Rally, I was filled.
Why? Because Friday night, we were all out to go, “Look at me!” The clothes were expensive and bought to make a point (the message being “I’m a STAR!”). The music was loud (sometimes painful) but missing something. The food was terrible and the ambience was a bit ‘too much’. We all knew each other but we weren’t all friendly with each other. Most of the teachers (actually all but one. Mr. Anantha was really sporting and sang an impromptu song that was the HIGHLIGHT of the evening) weren’t our buddies and they had their own table, separating them from the students. There were 3 speeches which nobody paid attention to. When you look at the dinner, it was as though peacocks got loose in Holiday Villa to parade themselves and lord themselves over the other. In our unity as being prefects, we were divided in judging others, in our prejudices (which I am not excused from), in trying to ‘show-off’.
Total cost=RM 55
Total cost= RM 5.
I know, you’re thinking I’m awfully religious. I’m not ‘cool’. I admit that proudly because the world is so empty without the TRUTH, Veritas. When I was with Rae during the Prefect Dinner, I had fun. She kept me company while being there for Chris too. But that was only her and a few others. Tell me honestly, were we all 100% friends with EVERYONE in the room? Or even 80%? I don’t think so. During the Youth Rally (a.k.a. Youth Prodigy) we didn’t know everyone there. But you could tell, we were all friends. We could talk to anyone and feel accepted. Melanie and Dorothy (her sister) stuck with me, except when we were divided to different groups. I met new friends and managed to work together with ‘strangers’.
I didn’t know the band members of ‘Prodigal Apostles’ but soon enough Mel, Dorothy and I were dubbed their ‘Number One Fans’. We stood so close to the stage that their energy rubbed off on us. They personally thanked us for our support and we even sang with them during mass (something I’ve never done before). I cried over ‘Jesus Lover of My Soul’ remembering my friend who passed away in 2006 and Melanie cried with me. I never felt so complete before. It was so different from the Prefect Dinner. It was touching and amazing that I’ll treasure it forever.
I guess the difference is the aim of the events. The Prefect Dinner was our way of ‘glorifying’ ourselves whereas the Youth Rally was to glorify God. When we think too much of ourselves, we forget the Creator who has given EVERYTHING to us. We get too caught up in worshipping the ‘Money’ instead of the true God who loves us.
I am so shocked by the contrast of the two big “PHENOMENAS” of my week. Compare the prefects of SMK USJ 13 and the youth of CDM. Compare the teachers and Father Paulino. Compare the FOOD if you can’t compare anything else (Since it was a Friday I didn’t eat meat in Holiday Villa so I can’t say much for the meat dishes. In CDM I didn’t eat the chicken because it would have been really messy. So through my analysis of the vegetables (=.=”), the CDM food was BETTER than the food in Holiday Villa).
I paid RM5 for 11 and ½ hours in an air-conditioned hall with plastic chairs but was fulfilled.
Oh what a difference RM50 makes.

Good reads recommended by yours truly.
